Website Accessibility Statement

The Ministry of Justice places great importance on making its services accessible to people with disabilities, including ensuring that information and services provided through its websites are accessible.
The website has been built in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Accessibility Adjustments for Services) 2013 and Israeli Standard 5568 – a standard for website accessibility at AA level.

Accessibility Adjustments on the Website

Keyboard Navigation:

All website actions can be performed using a keyboard as follows:

  • Pressing the Tab key moves to the next link, and pressing Enter activates the link.

  • Pressing Shift + Tab moves to the previous link.

  • The accessibility menu includes a “Skip to Content” option, allowing keyboard and screen reader users to bypass menus and go directly to the page content.

  • In tables where row selection is available, it can be done using the Space + Shift keys simultaneously.

Adjustments for Users with Visual Impairments:

  • The website uses high-contrast colors to improve readability for visually impaired users.

  • The accessibility menu allows users to adjust font size.

  • The entire page view can be enlarged or reduced using the browser’s Zoom function.

    • Press Ctrl + Plus (+) to zoom in (press multiple times to reach the desired size).

    • Press Ctrl + Minus (-) to zoom out.

Adjustments for Blind Users:

The website is compatible with screen readers and includes:

  • Headings for navigation.

  • Alternative text for images.

  • Clear division between navigation areas and main content, with the ability to skip between them.

  • Use of ARIA attributes to enhance screen reader interpretation.

Limitations

The website’s accessibility has been tested using the NVDA screen reader and the Chrome browser.
